APPIANO: BUILD-UP TO LILLE, 3 JOIN THE GROUP

Chivu, Julio Cesar and Sneijder worked with their team-mates; they were joined by Bianchetti (18)

APPIANO GENTILE – After travelling back from Catania last night and with Lille awaiting them on Tuesday 18 October 2011 for their third UEFA Champions League fixture, Inter were back at work this morning at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti.

Claudio Ranieri divided the players who were available into groups. The Nerazzurri who had been involved to a greater extent in yesterday's league match went through a regeneration session. A second group, including Cristian Chivu, Julio Cesar and Wesley Sneijder, had a full training session and they were joined by 18-year-old defender Matteo Bianchetti and Joel Obi (who was suspended for the Catania match), Luca Caldirola and Marco Davide Faraoni (who wasn't called up for the squad). Finally there were personalised recovery programmes for Diego Forlan and Andrea Ranocchia who are recovering from injury. Walter Samuel had therapy and physiotherapy. Philippe Coutinho, Andrea Poli and Emiliano Viviano were rested.
