Aguero netted a brace before Di Maria added a third, with Messi inspiring two of the goals. The win means Argentina end Group A in second place behind Colombia and will now wait to see who their quarter-final opponents are.
Inter captain Javier Zanetti played the full game, but Esteban Cambiasso and Diego Milito didn't feature.
