INTER CAMPUS DIARY FROM PINZOLO

A day-by-day breakdown of the organised events, experiences and emotions at Inter's summer training camp

PINZOLO Pinzolo, 8 July: the PalaDolomiti opened its doors to Nerazzurri fans, who could now finally admire the photo exhibition taking visitors on a tour of pictures that tell the story of Inter and Inter Campus. Today was a special preview opening: a unique opportunity for fans to have their photograph taken with the trophies and be among the first to wear Nike's Inter shirt for the 2011/12 season. All the money raised from the small fees paid for the privilege will go towards the social and health projects that Inter Campus and UNICEF are carrying out for the benefit of children in Congo and Bolivia. Young and old came along in numbers to try out the new Nerazzurri shirt.

Pinzolo, 9 July, 15:00: the official inauguration of the photo exhibition set up by Inter Campus at the PalaDolomiti. Present at the entrance for the cutting of the ribbon were Carlotta Moratti, president of Inter Campus, Signora Bedy Moratti, Francesco Toldo and UNICEF's Simonetta Schillaci.

Pinzolo, 9 July, 21:00: Piazza Carera was packed as Francesco Toldo spoke enthusiastically to the crowd about his own and others' experiences with Inter Campus. The anecdotes and the goals of the project made it a memorable evening, and one that you can see as a replica on Inter Channel.

Pinzolo, 10 July, 15:30: Volvo and Inter Store teamed up with Inter Campus to raise funds for Nerazzurri social projects. FC Internazionale top sponsor Volvo provided the model cars and the players put their autographs on them as soon as they arrived at their hotel in Pinzolo. These unique items will be sold in the Inter Store at the Stadio Pineta, with all the proceeds going to Inter Campus projects.

Pinzolo, 10 Luglio, 21:30: There was plenty of Nerazzurri passion this evening for the official presentation of the 2011/12 Inter squad in Piazza San Giacomo in Pinzolo. From Nagatomo to Sneijder, Castaignos to Pazzini, there was a loud cheer as each player was called onto the stage one by one by Inter Channel's Roberto Scarpini. Watching from the front row were some of Inter Campus's African coaches, who have flown in from Morocco, Cameroon, Angola, Congo and Uganda for a week-long refresher course. Sitting with them were the boys and girls who will be taking part in an Inter Campus-organised football holiday ("In vacanza con Inter Campus. Speciale vacanza-calcio sponsorizzata da Roche Diagnostic"), which aims to help them learn to live with diabetes while still enjoying sports in a fun, balanced way. When all the Inter players were on stage, the children went up to join them alongside Francesco Toldo. And to end the evening there was a special Inter Campus mini-train waiting to take them back to their hotel!
