MILAN - Inter president spoke to journalists on re-emerging from the Nerazzurri changing room following Saturday evening's Milan derby:
"We're not looking for any excuses, there have been a lot of incidents during the season that have complicated the situation in midfield, where it hasn't been possible to make substitutions during the season. Now we'll be calmer when we play in the championship, by thinking about the Champions League. We'll be able to play with less pressure, which is perhaps an advantage for the team. This doesn't mean we're resigning ourselves, but we now know we can't throw away even a single point. It was the usual derby - who scores first wins... Last year the miracle happened and it was us that benefitted from it. Now we have to think about the fact that we've earned one point in two matches. This evening's match was one to play right to the death, but there was a lot of fear of losing instead of courage. It's difficult if you take to the pitch like this. Sendings-off are things that happen, I didn't see any nastiness in particular between the Inter and AC Milan players."
