MILAN - The Lega Serie A has announced the dates for next season.
The Serie A season will begin on Sunday 26 August 2012 and end on 19 May 2013. There will be three rounds of midweek matches (26 September and 31 October 2012, 8 May 2013) and four breaks; one at the end of the year and three others for international matches (9 September, 14 October and 30 December 2012, 24 March 2013).
The Coppa Italia will begin on 5 August. There will be direct elimination matches for each round except for the semi-finals, which will be played as always over two legs. The final is scheduled for Sunday 26 May 2013, with Saturday 1 June as a reserve date.
Juventus and Napoli will face off in the Italian Super Cup on 19 August 2012, with reserve dates of Saturday 11 and Saturday 25 August.
