"Eight points aren't such a huge gap that I'm going to give up. You should never give up in football. Besides, I don't think the teams ahead of us are racing away at the top. We're not moving at the moment, that's true, but once we get up and running we can catch them," Ranieri added.
"Are Juventus at an advantage by not playing in Europe? Maybe, but I'm not so sure that can be considered an advantage... In any case, we'll worry about Juve a bit later," said the Nerazzurri coach.
And speaking of Juventus, there was inevitably a question for Ranieri about Alessandro Del Piero: "What do I think about him leaving Juventus? I think they were right to announce it now and if they did so they had their reasons for it. It's not for me to go into any further. I'm sure they gave it a lot of thought before taking the decision. Anyway, I know how Del Piero trains and what his qualities are: he'll give the team a lot."
