PINZOLO: THE PERFECT LOCATION FOR A HOLIDAY

Val Rendena: unspoilt nature and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the mountains whatever your tastes

PINZOLO – Yesterday Pinzolo gave a warm welcome to world champions Inter as the Nerazzurri returned to Val Rendena for their pre-season training camp for the first time since 1994. Approximately 5000 fans swelled into the Stadio Pineta for the team's first training session, and a few hours later they filled Piazza San Giacomo for the team's official presentation under new coach Gian Piero Gasperini. Both events were packed full of people and Nerazzurri passion, a combination we are likely to see many more times before Wednesday 20 July, when the Nerazzurri's stay in Trentino will come to an end.

As well as the masses of fans, the world champions were greeted by a location of unspoilt nature with lots of opportunities for mountain activities. Pinzolo and its surroundings are an area of immense Alpine beauty: to the east are the Brenta Dolomites, which became a World Heritage Site two years ago; to the west are the dazzling Adamello and Presanella glaciers; all of this is set in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, with its extraordinarily rich flora and fauna, Alpine lakes, waterfalls and ancient forests inhabited by brown bears.

From June to September the natural splendour of Pinzolo, Madonna di Campiglio and Val Rendena can be enjoyed while doing a wide range of sports. Choose one of the splendid hiking trails spread over a network of 400 kilometres at different altitudes: Nordic walking, trekking, climbing, vie ferrate and mountain-biking are all options here. Cycling lovers will be delighted to find a sort of natural velodrome in Val Rendena: 25 kilometres with play areas and snack points along the way.

There is sport and fun for everyone in this open-air gym that looks different at every turn: from the shade of the woods up to the peaks of the Dolomites. The realm of skiers and sports fans in winter and a rustic paradise for families and nature lovers in summer, Pinzolo, Madonna di Campiglio and Val Rendena are the ideal destination for a holiday, whether you have energy to burn or just want to relax and enjoy the mountain views.
