OITA - Interviewed by Italian state television network RAI after Mexico vs. Italy, Christian Vieri appeared satisfied with Italy's qualification to the round of sixteen.
"It was a hard and difficult match," said the Inter bomber. "When the other teams play Italy they always give something extra on the pitch."
Vieri continued: "
But we did well not to give in and to get the equaliser. Del Piero? I'm pleased for him, he's always been someone you can count on and he showed that by getting into the match immediately. He scored a great goal. Inzaghi also did well, even though they disallowed his perfectly legitimate goal."
